5 big consumer trends
Eco Purity
Consumers Go Cool Green
The environment is now the driving global concern. Culturally consumers are actively beginning to shift towards a Greener Economy. The global reaction to climate change will touch us all and proactive solutions to reverse or decelerate the planets decline will influence every aspect of our lives. Pressure is mounting for everyone to 'look internally' to make a difference, ultimately to save our planet and build a safe, secure, sustainable future for our children.
The way we live is the key factor; and every corner of our fast paced society from government to business, from countries to region, from family to individual will need to begin (and quickly) to think ethically, environmentally and emotionally about the choices they make as leaders, producers, consumers and most importantly emitters of waste; to save the face of the planet.
Consumers perceive organic products to be ultimately better for themselves and the sustainability of the planet.
Purer ways of living, purer consumption and purer products suggest solutions to this global problem. Purity is a growing trend, one example of the trend is the rise in local and organic produce; supporting local producers (less mileage), is one such reflection of how consumers are answering their desires for eco purity. Consumers perceive organic products as untainted, free of chemicals, not over produced, fresher, regionally based, supportive of local producers and ultimately better for themselves and the sustainability of the planet.
